Destiny's Game

He sat there alone,
Realizing the realms of life.
Where had he gone wrong?
He lost the love of his life.

Maybe it was time to let her go,
Set her free; move on.
The only memories he kept,
Were the good ones.

He needed a new distraction,
Maybe a new girl?
Wait, was this more than love?
Maybe even addiction.

There was nothing in this world,
Nothing that ran in his veins,
But her memories.
There was something mesmerizing about her.

She could have been perfect.
They could have been perfect!
But why didn't it work out?
Destiny did not play a fair game.

Mystery Man [Series, Volume 1]

He stood there, still.
So perfect, and beautiful. He stood there, still.

The tall dark winding trees;
Their branches reach,
To the midnight bloom.
So very dead and ancient,
It seemed, incomparable.

His muscular back,
With not a sight of slack.
So tender yet stiff and firm.
He looked disappointed.
Or is he ill?

Black cloak, flowing
Just like my thoughts.
His golden hair glowing,
Unusually blocked.
“Where am I”, I thought.

I knew him, inside out.
I tried to reach, but
He was too far out.
I could sense his presence,
But why was he avoiding me?

He stood there, still.
So perfect, and beautiful.
